Chrysocolla / Gem Silica — Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla spans two trades: soft sky-blue botryoidal copper silicate (stabilised for cabs and carvings) and hard vivid blue gem silica - chalcedony stained through by chrysocolla. The Chelsea filter and RI separate natural gem silica from dyed chalcedony imitations. Arizona and Peru supply the fine hard material.
