Green Serpentine (Bowenite)

Green Serpentine (Bowenite) — Serpentine

The classic face of serpentine: translucent apple- to olive-green bowenite and its kin, mottled white and green, sold everywhere as an inexpensive jade substitute. Chromium-rich williamsite and New Zealand's tangiwai are the prestige versions.
